FJN Corruption Free School Campaign Observes Anti-Corruption Day
Anti-Corruption Day, December 9, 2024, on the theme “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption, Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity” was highlighted through the efforts of the Faith and Justice Network’s Corruption Free School Campaign. The event included a parade along the principal streets of Monrovia, culminating in an indoor program at G.W. Gibson High School.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Peter Marshall, the Monrovia Consolidated Schools System (MCSS) Director. The Director spoke on the topic “Building a Culture of Integrity and Accountability in the Liberia School System for Sustainable Development” emphasizing the importance of maintaining moral clarity and consistency in the fight against corruption. Mr. Marshall’s speech underscored the critical role that integrity plays in fostering a corruption-free society, particularly among the youth, who are seen as the key to shaping a brighter, more just future.
The colorful program was attended by students from over 15 schools in Monrovia along with their teachers. The day’s activities reinforced the message that combating corruption requires collective efforts, with youth engagement being central to driving lasting change.
