The Board of Directors of the Faith and Justice Network of the Mano River Union Countries on Wednesday, December 18 held a one-day awareness workshop with several students from different schools. The awareness-building workshop in Observance of International Anti–Corruption Day brought together more than 50 students as well as teachers from six high schools within Monrovia and its environs.

The Muslim Congress High School, G.W Gibson High School, Len Millar High School, St. Peter’s Lutheran High School, Apostolic Foundation High School, and the Free Pentecostal Global Mission High Schools were schools that participated in the observance of the International Anti–Corruption Day. Mr. Randal Makor, Legal Professional Development and anti-corruption Specialist at the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) serves as the Keynote Speaker.

One of FJN’s pillars is to campaign against social injustices in Liberia and the rest of the Mano River Countries. FJN creates the space for citizens’ active participation in decision-making. FJN believes that the more emphasis is placed on combating corruption among boys and girls at high school levels; they will in return grow with high integrity when they shall have taken the mantle of authority in society. FJN has established Corruption Free School Clubs in 15 high schools which have led to parents, guardians, students, teachers, and school administrators committing themselves to ending examination malpractices in schools.
