On February 11, 2026, at Abide in the Vine Fellowship in Zota, Jacob Town, Paynesville City, the Association of Evangelicals of Liberia (AEL) gathered for its 27th General Assembly with over 100 church leaders under the theme, “Come, Let’s Reason Together to Build the Kingdom of God.

Delivering the keynote address, Rev. Dr. Tolbert Thomas Jallah, Jr., Regional Executive Director of the Faith and Justice Network, reminded the Church that this gathering was more than a conference—it was a divine call to reflection, responsibility, and courageous action.

Drawing from Isaiah 1:18, he emphasized that God’s invitation to “reason together” is a summons to moral clarity, spiritual accountability, and united purpose. He called on the Church to remember its historic role during Liberia’s civil war—standing as a voice of conscience, providing refuge and social services, engaging in peacebuilding and promoting food security when national systems collapsed.

Today, the Church faces new challenges. Amid national pain, social injustice, and the erosion of human dignity, the Assembly reaffirmed that silence is not an option. The Gospel demands both proclamation and action—speaking up for the voiceless, defending the vulnerable, and promoting justice, mercy, and compassion in both public and private life.

The 27th General Assembly underscored that a united Church can influence policy, shape national conscience, and foster transformation. When the Church reasons together, speaks together, and acts together, God moves among His people.

As the Association moves forward, it remains committed to:

• Upholding justice and human dignity
• Advocating for the poor and marginalized
• Promoting unity within the Body of Christ
• Building the Kingdom of God through faith, courage, and service

With renewed conviction, the Association of Evangelicals of Liberia pledges to stand as a prophetic voice for righteousness and a beacon of hope for the nation under the newly elected Board President, Bishop Dr. Robert S. Bimba.

God bless the Association of Evangelicals of Liberia.
God bless the Church of Liberia.
And God bless the Republic of Liberia.
